Desktop widget: right-click your desktop, choose Edit Widgets, and add Topline · Focus. It shows today's focus, your streak and the week, and a live countdown while a session runs. Start, pause and Autopilot are one click.
A calmer breathing break: the bar now glows with soft, drifting color. Breathe in for 4 as it blooms, hold for 4, breathe out for 6 as it fades.
Autopilot is one click: it's a checkmark in the ⋯ menu and comes back with the rhythm you used last. Rhythms moved to Autopilot Rhythm.
Your sound, then Ocean, then your sound: focus plays the Undertone you picked (Night Drive until you pick one), breaks play Ocean, and focus goes back to your pick.
Chime key sound: every key is a soft bell note from one five-note scale, so typing turns into a quiet melody. Return plays a little chord.
Fewer, more different key sounds: Classic Brown, Muffled Topre and Laptop are gone (they sounded too close to Classic Red, Muffled Pillow and Silent). If you used one, you're moved to that one.
Autopilot plays for you: focus starts a Groove loop (a different one each round), and breaks switch to ocean, waterfall, jungle or rain while the bar breathes with you. Your own Spotify or Apple Music still wins.
Sprint rhythm: 5 minutes on, 1 off.
Picking an Autopilot rhythm starts the first focus right away.
The ⋯ menu drops from the ⋯: on a docked bar it used to open at the far right of the screen. Settings now opens right under the button you clicked too.
YouTube Music (experimental, direct build): turn it on in Settings and the bar shows the song playing in a YouTube Music tab in Chrome, Arc, Brave, Edge, or Safari. Click the track on the bar to jump straight to that tab. It stays off until you turn it on, and only then does macOS ask permission for an open browser. (Available in the direct Mac build; left out of the Mac App Store build.)
Clean binaural tones: removed the soft noise bed underneath Tones, so Focus, Calm, Drift, Low Calm, and Delta each play just the binaural beat and a low drone.
Unified Music tab: all 62 Undertone loops live under Music with quick mood filters: All, Calm, Groove, and World.
Two lower binaural tones:Delta (a slow 4 Hz beat on a low 110 Hz tone) and Low Calm (10 Hz on a 120 Hz low hum), bringing Tones to five options for headphones.
50 new Undertone loops: 34 hypnotic, repetitive grooves in the spirit of Night Drive (italo, dark disco, coldwave, melodic and dub techno, lo-fi house, outrun) and 16 world/organic loops weaving folk instruments over deep grooves (kamancha, duduk, oud, sitar, handpan, qanun).
Small app, cached audio: the extended loops stream from topline.bar the first time you play one, then stay on your Mac for offline use.
Faster search: the search bar now sits right beside the Undertone title at the top of the picker.
Eight new bundled Undertone tracks: Night Drive, Pulse, Neon, Orbit, Late Night, Bossa, Piano, and Strings, with loudness normalized across every loop so switching tracks never jumps in volume.
Redesigned Undertone picker: tabs for Music, Places, Tones, and Noise, plus instant type-to-search across descriptions and moods.
Twelve key sound styles: added Classic Red (light and smooth), Classic Brown (tactile bump), and Muffled Pillow (silent linear switches in a foam-filled case). Hear all twelve on the keyboard page.
Autopilot: focus and breaks run on an automatic loop, selectable from Settings or the bar's right-click menu.
Breaks hand over the sound: your Spotify or Apple Music fades out into a calm Undertone on breaks, and fades back in when focus resumes.
Breathe with the bar: for the first minute of a break, light swells across the bar as you breathe in for 4 seconds and draws back as you breathe out for 6. Click to skip.
Water reminders & smart pause: every other break asks if you've had water (and counts glasses), every fourth break is long, and if you stepped away from the Mac, the next focus waits until you're back at the keyboard.
Three built-in rhythms:Study (50/10), Classic (25/5), and Gentle (20/5, asks before starting each round).
YakShaving typeface: the bar, countdown, and panels now use Topline's custom display and UI font.
Felt & Muffled Topre switches: added Felt (a custom pitched tap, lower on the left of your keyboard and higher on the right, panned in stereo) and Muffled Topre. Every switch style now keeps per-key consistency and stereo position.
Heavier Return after writing: finishing a paragraph (30+ keys since the last Return) layers a deeper strike underneath; quick blank lines stay light.
Live Binaural Tones & Stereo Noise: added Focus (16 Hz), Calm (10 Hz), Drift (6 Hz), plus live-synthesized Brown and White noise that never loop.
Grouped Settings: organized into General, Bar, Timer, and Spotify, including optional timer bar colors and configurable 5–20 minute breaks.
Green-to-red focus bar: the entire strip shifts smoothly from green to yellow to red as time runs down, with a soft glow every 45 seconds.
Key sounds (beta): direct hardware keyboard listening via macOS Input Monitoring so holding a key clicks once like a real switch, with automatic detection when another app or password field holds macOS Secure Input.
Photo cards for Places: visual cards for Coffee Shop, Waterfall, Jungle, Ocean, Fireplace, and Storm.
Window-aware top strip: docks full width under the menu bar, shrinks to a thin line when a window sits underneath so title-bar buttons stay clickable, and moves the song and countdown into the menu bar (or stays full height with Always Show Bar).
Undertone & Places: introduced built-in background audio on the waveform button alongside Spotify and Apple Music controls.
Local Focus Stats: minutes today, finished sessions, day streak, peak focus hour, and 7-day chart stored locally on your Mac with zero accounts or uploads.
